How much does SwingDraw cost?
$14.99 once on the U.S. App Store, with every feature included. There is no subscription, in-app purchase, or ad. Local prices vary by storefront.
Is there a free version or trial?
No. SwingDraw is a paid app with no free tier. The features, facts, and guide pages show exactly what it does before you buy.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes, for up to six family members when Family Sharing is enabled.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17.6 or later. There is no Android, Mac-only, or web version.
Recording & importing
Can I import swings I already filmed?
Yes. Import a single video or bulk-import several from Photos. Videos filmed at a lesson, on the range, or by a friend all work.
Can I record in the app?
Yes. Range sessions record your practice, detect the swings, and let you trim and keep the ones worth studying.
What is the best camera angle?
Down-the-line (behind the hands, pointing at the target) or face-on (facing the golfer’s chest), with the phone on a tripod near hand height. See the recording guide.
Should I record in slow motion?
If you can, yes. iPhone slow-motion video (120 or 240 fps) gives you more frames around impact when you step through the swing.
Analysis
What does the swing path overlay show?
A trace of the clubhead through the swing, colored by phase, drawn on the camera image. Gaps can appear when the club is blurred or hidden.
What is the Head Stability score?
A 0–100 summary of how far the tracked head point travels from address to impact, scaled to torso size. Higher means less movement. It is a visual aid, not a grade. How it is calculated.
Are angle measurements accurate?
Angles are measured in the 2D video image. They are consistent for comparing your own swings from the same camera position, but they are not calibrated 3D measurements.
Does SwingDraw diagnose my swing or suggest drills?
No. It shows the swing clearly and leaves interpretation to you or your coach. Apps like GolfFix, 18Birdies, and Sportsbox focus on automatic feedback.
Does it measure club speed, ball speed, or carry?
No. Use a launch monitor for ball-flight and club data.
Can I compare my swing to a tour pro?
You can import any video you have the right to use and compare it side by side with yours. SwingDraw does not include a library of pro swings.
Privacy & sharing
Are my videos uploaded?
No. The swing library stays on your device unless you export or share a clip. There is no account, and the App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
How do I send a swing to my coach?
Use Save Photo for a marked frame or Save Video for the clip with drawings and overlays, then share it from Photos or the share sheet. See the coach guide.
Does my library sync between iPhone and iPad?
No. Each device keeps its own library. Export the clips you want to move.
Is it safe for junior golfers?
SwingDraw has no ads, no account, no chat, and no data collection. It is rated 4+ on the App Store.
